M+M Gallery is proud to present the dual exhibition "Every Good Boy Does Fine," a compelling exploration of contemporary art. The title, inspired by the mnemonic used to remember the line notes of the treble clef (E, G, B, D, F), serves as a framework for the artists to investigate cultural habits, social class, and the way these concepts shape our perception of reality. Marking the Hong Kong debut for both Buck Ellison and Kayode Ojo, the exhibition features new, site-specific works created exclusively for the M+M Gallery space, offering a unique dialogue with the local socio-cultural landscape.
Program
Buck Ellison’s "Long Still Life" series employs his signature collage-photography technique to critically examine the legacy of elite education and colonial history. In parallel, Kayode Ojo presents sculptural installations using everyday objects, questioning authenticity and the nature of material culture in our society. The exhibition opens on June 27 with an artist talk, where both creators will share their creative processes and philosophical inquiries, inviting visitors to engage in a profound dialogue with their work.
