Highlights
The "Body Stress Relief Workshop" is part of the "2026-27 18 Districts Arts: Sha Tin Community Performing Arts Project - 'Body Rings' Elderly Dance Project," curated by the professional contemporary dance company, Unlock Dancing Plaza. This workshop series is specifically designed for the elderly, caregivers, and Sha Tin residents, aiming to provide a much-needed breathing space for self-care and mental well-being through gentle physical movement. No previous dance experience is required, making it an accessible experience for everyone.
Program
A total of six workshops will be hosted, each lasting approximately two hours. The sessions are centered on stress relief through movement. Please note that the first two sessions (June 17 and June 26, 2026) will feature a special focus on "Intangible Cultural Heritage," while the remaining four sessions will follow a different curriculum. Places are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis, so early registration is recommended.
Performers
The workshops are led by the core team of Unlock Dancing Plaza, including Artistic Co-directors Ong Yong-lock, Joseph Lee, and Li Chun-yu. Li Chun-yu also serves as a creator and workshop instructor, with choreographer Cheung Ka-yi providing guidance. Wong Bo-na will also support the sessions as a teaching assistant and featured artist, ensuring a professional and supportive atmosphere.
