Solo & Improvisation I and "Edge Dance 87" [i-Dance Festival (Hong Kong) 2026]

Overview

[i-Dance Festival (Hong Kong) 2026] invites you to a laboratory of movement! This event, "Solo & Improvisation I" and "Edge Dance 87," features a collaboration of outstanding international and local artists, presenting a series of experimental and impactful performances.

The performance is divided into two parts:

1. Solo Art: Experienced contemporary dancers showcase self-choreographed works, demonstrating highly personalized physical language and artistic narrative.
2. Edge Dance 87: An improvisation performance where multiple multidisciplinary artists create works based on specific themes. Improvisation challenges dancers to respond in real-time to music, the environment, and the energy of their partners in a constantly changing stage, creating unique sparks that happen only once.

• Solo Artists: Yu Hau-yee, Marah ARCILLA, Sylvie COX, Peng Yuhai
• Edge Dance 87 Performers: Ma Sze-nga, Yip Por, Law Chi-wing, Chan Ting-cheung, Wong Ka-kui

• Special Session: A post-show artist talk will be held, allowing the audience to engage in in-depth dialogue with the artists about their creative processes and dance aesthetics.

• Standard Price: HKD 250
• Concession Price: HKD 200 (Full-time students, seniors aged 60+, people with disabilities and their caretakers, CSSA recipients)
