To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Premiere Performances, we are honored to present a solo recital by world-renowned violinist Ning Feng. Since his debut with Premiere Performances in 2010, Ning Feng has evolved from a sensational young talent into one of the most prominent virtuosos on the global stage. This concert marks a milestone in his artistic journey, as he tackles a demanding program of unaccompanied works, showcasing both his technical prowess and emotional depth. Program

Performing on a 1710 Stradivarius violin generously provided by Premiere Performances, Ning Feng will navigate a program that tests the very limits of violin technique and expression:

• Bach: Partita No. 2 in D minor – A profound exploration of polyphonic richness.
• Ysaÿe: Violin Sonata No. 2 & No. 6 (Op. 27) – Works dedicated to Thibaud and Quiroga, showcasing modern tension and virtuosic demands.
• Paganini: Selected Caprices (Op. 1) – Including Nos. 1, 4, 5, 7, 9, 13, 14, 17, 20, 23, and 24, displaying the pinnacle of bowing and fingering technique.
