Flamenco Nocturne [Chords Apart — Boundless Music 2026]

Overview

'Flamenco Nocturne' is not merely a traditional dance performance but an intimate exploration of the evolution of flamenco in contemporary theater. Curated by acclaimed Spanish dancer Leonor Leal, recipient of the prestigious 'Outstanding Dancer Award' at the Madrid Spanish Dance and Flamenco Choreography Competition, and renowned percussionist Antonio Moreno, the performance pushes the boundaries of traditional Spanish art. Since its debut at the 2018 Seville Flamenco Biennale, the piece has evolved into a fluid dialogue between movement and sound.

Performers

Joining the lead duo are virtuoso guitarist Alfredo Lagos—winner of the Best Guitarist award at the 2020 Seville Flamenco Biennale and the 2023 Jerez Cup—and saxophonist Juan Jiménez.
