3rd Hong Kong Children's Recitation Festival @ Childlike Music

Overview

The 3rd Hong Kong Children's Recitation Festival is an arts event designed for young learners, focusing on the fusion of sound, tone, and emotion to bring literature to life. Held on November 1, 2026, at the Sheung Wan Civic Centre Lecture Hall, this competition is open to students from kindergarten to primary school. It serves as a vital platform for children to overcome stage fright and develop confidence through performance.

Competition Categories

The competition supports Mandarin, English, and Cantonese, featuring a wide range of materials including:

• Show & Tell
• Storytelling
• Classical and Modern Poetry, Prose
• Nursery Rhymes (recitation focused)
• Religious texts and Public Speaking

Divisions

• Individual: Kindergarten (PN–K3) and Primary (P1–P6)
• Pairs: Kindergarten, Junior Primary (P1–P3), Senior Primary (P4–P6)
• Parent-Child: At least one parent and one child

Awards and Recognition

Champions, 1st, and 2nd runners-up, along with Merit awardees, will receive trophies or medals and written evaluations. Special awards for "Outstanding Instructor" and "Outstanding Educational Institution" are also available to recognize excellence in coaching.

  • Individual: $400
  • Pair: $350 per person
  • Parent-Child: $200 per person
• Admission Tickets: $120 per ticket (free seating). Complimentary tickets are available for participants based on their registration category.
