Highlights
The "Intergenerational Workshop," curated by Unlock Dancing Plaza as part of the "2026-27 18 Districts Arts-in-Education - Sha Tin Community Performing Arts Project," is specifically designed for seniors and their family or friends. Through the art of dance, participants explore physical movement using everyday objects and engaging games, rekindling the bonds between generations. It serves not just as a dance workshop, but as an interactive space for different generations to connect, set aside daily burdens, and build bridges of communication through physical awareness, allowing seniors and families to create cherished memories together.
About the Program
This project aims to break down generational barriers, encouraging seniors to participate alongside their caregivers or family members. Led by professional dance artists, participants will explore movement together, rediscovering the joy and childlike wonder of human connection. The activities are designed to be accessible, requiring no previous dance experience—only an open mind is needed to observe and feel one another through simple, guided movements. Through this workshop, participants will learn to observe life through movement, feel the warmth of their loved ones, and take a break from the complexities of daily life to embrace a new, shared experience.
